'Conversations with Dr Matthews, a longstanding friend of The Artist, reveal the image to be that of one of a number of collages made in the summer or early fall of 1978 when The Artist worked in a British Government Department. The Artist told Dr Matthews whilst showing him the collage that its production was serendipitous (if not prophetic) in that on the very day the piece was put together, the Baader-Meinhof terrorist, Astrid Proll, was arrested at Finchley Underground station in London. Astrid, therefore, is Astrid Proll, former terrorist, now a professional photographer.'
