ARTWORK LOST IN MOMART FIRE, LONDON, 24 MAY 2004

Photograph of the prototype of 100 SUSPIRATIONS, in the Artists' private collection, Gallery List Price 540

Among the hundreds of artworks lost in the fire at the Momart warehouse in East London were pieces by Portrait Of the Artist As A Cyborg, most notably 100 SUSPIRATIONS, which consisted of 100 jamjars filled with the poet's breath and sealed tight with superglue. A selection of the Artist's trademark 'Broken Books' also perished. Portrait Of the Artist As A Cyborg, who lives in Lincolnshire, has so far refused to comment on the loss.
